Drosera derbyensis is a beautiful sundew that is an excellent choice for growers looking for a more heat-loving species.  Drosera derbyensis is native to the tropical Kimberley region of Australia and is a member of the petiolaris complex Drosera group or woolly sundews.  Petiolaris complex sundews have an otherworldly appearance and many are reminiscent of elegant underwater corals.  They thrive in warm, bright, wet conditions.  In nature, these plants have adapted to extreme heat and many have silvery hairs on the leaf petioles to help protect them from high light levels.  We recommend keeping them constantly wet in a mix of half peat/perlite in a temperature range from 65-90 degrees with light levels from 300-1000 PPFD.

This product is considered a Petiolaris Complex Drosera. Please see our Shipping and Guarantees policy for cold/hot weather shipping guidelines.

Most of our products come with multiple shipping options. For those that are unpotted, you can add Pots and Soil or Hanging Baskets a la carte.
